Documentation:Reality Capture Documentation
The reconstruction process using Reality Capture has been automated however sometimes you might need to manually reconstruct the model. Here is how you do that:
- Drag and drop or use Inputs
- Images tab (see how many – 125 images), this looks for clusters of pixels and matches to figure out position of cameras.
- Images and control points – components 0, 125 cameras/125 cameras, this means the software was able to figure out where all the cameras were.
- Calculate model
Create a new project in Reality Capture for the second part of the specimen:
- Align images
- Calculate model
Aligning both models in Reality Capture:
- Registration – Reality Capture – alignment – export - save
- Open up previous project and do the same
- New project
- Workflow, alignment, scene Alignment new component
- Open up both of the previous models that were just exported
- Alignment Settings bottom left (merge components only -Yes), this tells software to not figure out where the cameras are, just to figure out where the components fit together.
- Load two components Align
- Reconstruct – reconstruct full model
- Workflow tab – Calculate model
