cIRcle, UBC's Information Repository

Description	cIRcle is an open access digital repository for published and unpublished material created by the UBC community and its partners. Its aim is to showcase and preserve UBC’s unique intellectual output by making content freely available to anyone, anywhere via the web. cIRcle uses the open source DSpace software.
Services Provided	Mediated Deposit and Author-Deposit Support Assistance with uploading items to cIRcle for the UBC research community (faculty, researchers, students, partners). Graduate students needing assistance with uploading theses and dissertations, please contact the Koerner Library Research Commons at research.commons@ubc.ca Permissions Managing receipt of the cIRcle Non-exclusive Distribution License for all items in cIRcle Piloted service with UBC Copyright and Permissions Office to review for permissions for published materials (eg. journal articles) Digital Preservation Persistent links assigned to all items in cIRcle Migrating files to newer formats (where possible) so they remain readable over the long term. Training & Support Online user guides for uploading submissions and other DSpace workflows Technical support (uploading, accessing content, etc.) In-person training sessions for staff (by request) Usage Statistics Publicly accessible displays of view and download activity for the past six months for each record in cIRcle. Click on 'Show Statistical Information' at bottom of record. Full statistics available via the Reporting Suite, which requires a cIRcle login

Location	Koerner Room 266 (second floor next to the stairs)
Hours of Service	9:00am - 5:00pm Monday to Friday. Door to office may be closed if staff are away at meetings.
