Common issues in using Kaltura Mashup

“Content Collection” vs. Kaltura Mashup

While adding a video to a course tool or course page (using Mashups) user may have difficulty distinguishing Kaltura Mashup function from Connect's built-in file management system. To access Kaltura videos and add them to a course tool or html page (through the html editor), user needs to open the ‘Mashups’ drop-down menu on the editor and select ‘Kaltura Media’. Refer to Service Now Ref. # KB0013642 for more details. The ‘Browse Content Collection’ button, however, allows attaching documents of any type (word, pdf, images, videos …) to the course tool from the Connect file management system. This function is independent from Kaltura. As well, the ‘Browse My Computer’ button allows uploading files of any type (word, pdf, images, videos …) to Connect file management system. Obviously, this function is also independent from Kaltura.
