Documentation:IGEN X30 Teams 2023W

From UBC Wiki
  1. This is for sharing info about your project to other IGEN shop users - This is intended to be a record of ongoing projects in IGEN 230/330/430 to help with the IGEN Shop Supervisors and Council to manage the teams working in the shared spaces and resources as we get closer to Design and Innovation Day in early April.
  2. This is a publicly-viewable wiki - if you are not comfortable leaving the material up on this page, contact shop@integratedengineers.ca + jon.nakand@ubc.ca
  3. Edit the wiki and add info, particularly focusing on things useful for Shop Manager Planning - List down information about your project below. In particular:
    1. Special resource requirements:
      • Larger-than-average storage space requirements
      • The need for specialized tools or transportation issues.
      • Anything else that requires support from the Shop Managers or others in the program.
    2. Primary hazards and Safety Concerns:
      • Do not include any issues with using standard shop or electronics tools, just items particular to your project.
      • Battery power used (e.g. type of battery, voltage/capacity, charging)
      • Voltages above 24V, or use of AC power in any custom electronics/components
      • High-temperature items
      • Rotating parts, high forces, items that could shatter/break.
      • Chemical use.
      • Any other concerns that Shop Managers and space users should know about.
