Startup and Calibration

1.    Push the power  button to turn start up, and allow the meter to warm up for 30 minutes.

2.    Select the conductivity measurement mode (push  to select).

3.    Select Calibrate, the display shows the solutions to use for calibration (use a NaCl conductivity standard (1000 µS/cm, 491 mg/L).

4.    Select Read to start the calibration. The meter measures the value of the calibration solution. When the measurement is complete, the display shows the results.

5.    Select Store to save the calibration.

6.    Rinse the probe with distilled with distilled water 3x and pat dry with a new kimwipe.

7.    Calibrate before starting a set of measurements or after 1-2 hours of use.

Taking measurements

1.    Prepare your samples.

2.    Select the conductivity measurement mode (push  to select).

3.    Insert the probe to fully cover the EC probes opening, and select Read, keeping the probe in the solution.

4.    The meter will beep after each measurement and display the result. Record this value and the associated units.

5.    Rinse the probe with distilled with distilled water 3x and pat dry with a new kimwipe before taking a new measurement and after use.
