Documentation:FIB book/Instruments and Experiments

From UBC Wiki

Multiple common and specialized instruments are used to complete injury biomechanics experiments.

Summary

Challenges for Measurement in Injury Biomechanics

Challenges in the actual measurement of injury biomechanics forces, accelerations, and more include the high-speed/high-rate nature of force application (and subsequent acceleration, strain, etc.) and the large values of these metrics observed in injury (e.g. high forces).

SAE J211 Standards

SAE produces two standards that outline recommended practice in the measurement of occupant protection, SAE J211/1 and SAE J211/2.
