This study examine the prevalence victims method which is electronic bullying in the middle school, a sample comes from southeastern USA junior school research the relationship between the electronic bullying and victimization with a small percentage student.[1]

Problem

Technology becomes the new bullying method in the society in some way, it affect students mental health and give a hurt by their brain development.

  • Statistically correlates of electronic bullying were self-reported grades in school, gender, and patent marital status.
  • Significant correlates of victimization were self-reported in school, parent marital status, ethnicity.
  • The behavior of bullying across nine counties indicate that one-forth for physical bullying; half for social bullying, verbal bullying is over fifth percentage and electronic bullying for 13.6% .[3]
  • Student who engage in bullying behaviors are most likely to underachieve in school, drop out of school and even attend some illegal organization.

Solution

Many believes adolescents and younger children to be future victims, since the phenomenon increase dramatically among young. As a result, school should set the programs up if they meet mental health problem.

  • Controlling the time limited using computer in school and parents as to the importance of supervising children at home.
  • Let parents know what kinds of communicate display that student uses.
  • Encourage participation in school groups and build the relationship with friends in order to reduce the surf time.
  • Provide a safe place for bullies to address underlying issues concerning their behavior. [4]

Evaluation

When the advanced-technology coming the youth is more understanding how to operate it than adult, this is also a hidden danger since they don't have a complete physical and mental development. Lots of parents also unaware this kind of danger.

  • Bullying from peers has been identified as one of the most problematic behavioral concerns among adolescents.
  • In the USA school, there are 14% of the student reported engaging in electronic behaviors, while one-forth percentage reported victims of electronic bullying.
  • The continue progress predicted that the user of electronic communication technologies will increase in the group of adolescents.
