A Content Folder is a place to organize and store course material to be displayed to students. You can add and manage any kind of content within a Content Folder, similar to other content areas.

Folders can be used to structure or create hierarchies within a Learning Module but unlike Learning Modules, Content Folders do not include a table of contents.

Create a content folder

  1. From the left-hand course menu, select a content area or create one using the Add Menu Item button
  2. Click Build Content > Content Folder at the top of the page
    The create a Content Folder link is under the Build Content tab when you are in a content area.
  3. In the Content Folder Information section, enter a name for the folder
  4. (Optional) Select a color for the title
  5. Using the text editor, enter the text or material for the purpose of the folder- You can even attach a file or picture, embed a link or add multimedia content

Set folder options

  1. In the Options section, select whether or not you would like the folder to be visible to students
  2. Select if you would like the number of times a student views the folder to be recorded
  3. Set a start and end date for when the folder will be visible to students
  4. To create the content folder, click Submit at the top or bottom of the page
