2018 Spring Institute

Overview

The Spring Institute 2018 (May 22 – 25, 2018) is an opportunity to network with colleagues and to share practices, research, and experiences around teaching, learning, and technology. We invite your contribution to inspire and to be a catalyst in building our collective capacities in producing meaningful student learning and engagement through innovative teaching practices.

Call for Proposal

We invite proposals that address the following pillars in the Strategic Plan through a teaching and learning lens:

  1. People and Places
  2. Research Excellence
  3. Transformative Learning
  4. Local and Global Engagement

Facilitator Development Workshop

In response to the feedback from previous institute facilitators, we are offering an 1 hour facilitation workshop (optional but highly encouraged) for all of our Spring Institute facilitators. The intentions here two fold: to deepen our facilitation skills in a peer-based, supportive environment by sharing ideas (e.g., strategies/techniques to engage participants) and to provide a forum to connect with our fellow facilitators.

Please find here a copy of the Facilitator Development Workshop Lesson Plan.
