Plans for Follow-up and Evaluation

Overview

Once implemented, the success of the project will be evaluated by the pilot students and facilitators using Connect and by the quality and overall reliability of the service. Evaluation will be conducted in a formative manner throughout the design and development stages, and an independent summative evaluation will be conducted on completion of the project.

Usage

Over the course of the pilot phase, reports will be run to determine the number of courses taking advantage of the service. These reports can also provide data regarding the number of students and instructors impacted by Connect.

Quality of Service

At the end of the pilot phase, feedback will be gathered from students and facilitators regarding their experience with Connect from a teaching and learning perspective. The response from users will help us to determine if the service is adding value to our learning management system.

Reliability

In order for Connect to be an effective tool, it must be available for use. During the pilot we will be monitoring the system closely for slow response or downtimes. If issues are discovered with the reliability of the service, we will address them and, if necessary, consider another option
