Dietetics:CommunicationCollaboration/Intuitive Eating in Diabetes Management 2023

From UBC Wiki

Hello! Welcome to the UBC Dietetics Wiki page on intuitive eating in the context of type 2 diabetes management. Type 2 diabetes is a common condition that dietitians encounter in practice, and it is important that there are evidence-based tools that they can use to support the individuals they work with. Therefore, the target audience for this tool is Registered Dietitians wanting to learn about how to use intuitive eating with patients/clients that are living with type 2 diabetes.

On this page, you will find an informational poster explaining the ten principles of intuitive eating and their connection to type 2 diabetes management. Also, the poster links to a reflective quiz that shares more in-depth research on intuitive eating and diabetes and allows the reader to explore their thoughts surrounding the topic. All of the references used in the poster and reflective quiz, as well as additional resources, are provided on a Google Document at the bottom of this page.

There is also a Google Slides presentation that can be used for an educational session to teach about and share the poser and reflective quiz with colleagues.
