UBC Farm: Forestry

The UBC Farm is a diverse landscape of fields, forests and built-structures that provide food, forest products and ecosystem services. This unique area enables students, researchers and members of the public to learn about sustainable farming and forestry, explore farm-forest-community interactions, re-establish a connection to the land, and experience nature in the city. With over half of the 24 hectare land covered in forest, the farm hosts a diversity of naturally regenerated second-growth stands as well as planted stands of various ages.
