Sung Vowels (comments)

Very nice and informative, I would highlight the following points:

  • There’s barely any referencing in the article.
  • The introductory paragraph has some strange sentence which I don’t really understand. For instance:
    • "In singing, voiced sounds dominate and precise control of the vocal tract while producing these sounds is essential in creating the desired acoustics.”
  • Perhaps a more visual description of the functionalities of the vocal tracs would be helpful. I find that overall section somewhat vague. Maybe this can be done by altering the structure of the article, such that there is more context for this section in terms of the IPA classification?
  • Otherwise the physics part is good, its very nice how you used the visual diagrams and linked them with the spectrogram. It gives it a lot of concreteness. I would mainly work on correcting the first part of the article, such that it flows more coherently.
