TO GET THE BALL ROLLING...

Yay - You figured it out way quicker than I did! Distribution of work:

(a) General History: Samantha (b) Modern History/Cultural Significance of World Cup: Nicholas (c) Cultural Usage: ? (d) Interesting Facts/Uses: ?

Because the report is only ~2000 words, our report only needs to be ~500 words/person (which is not too long at all!). Juan and Curtis - I guess this means you get to fight over who is researching which portion (you can always change it up from the topics that Nicholas suggested ... but they seem like pretty viable sub-categories).

We should probably use this page from now as that way Naomi & Joy can track our discussions via wiki. I think it mentions on the 'Help' page how to use the discussions page (using different colors, etc?). Hopefully I posted this correctly! I'm slightly slow on the technology end of things =).

Cheers, Sam

Update...

Hey Guys, I'm having some difficulty pin-pointing the actual history of the horn so that's why there haven't been any posts from me. But I am working on it! Thanks for being so speedy, Nicholas. I think to post food/end notes we can use the 'Horizontal Line Button' (so that it clearly separates the text from the notes ... but I'm not sure how to get the superscript numbers in there).

Hopefully, everyone else is doing ok on their end! Any questions or issues - just post.

Sam

Hey guys

Got myself set up on the wiki page and I will post my portion this weekend. I've been picking away at it this week and it'll polished up probably sunday then we will still have a few days to make any changes needed.

History

Hey all, I've almost finished writing up my portion. Nicholas, it looks like it really overlaps with the last portion that was posted (not sure if that was you or not). So, I will post at the top and then I guess we can figure out how to edit it later ?? I think that everyone should try and have all their stuff submitted by early Thursday morning at the latest so that we can go through and make sure everything flows / makes sense and that nothing is missing. Deal? Juan - are you still MIA?? We aren't supposed to email you via personal email because then they can't track our discussions (etc). -Sam- PS: I left my list of sources at home (I'm uploading from work) so I will add those in later tonight when I get home BUT to add them in you have to create an external link and then add in the site address (assuming the sources are based online). =)

Oops

It seems that I have overlapped with the Cultural Significance part ... my bad. So, I will keep looking for more historical information and then try and edit my piece tonight after work. -Sam-

Fixed

Ok - so I moved the part that I had on the Scout's movement & tacked it onto the part that was already there (I think from Curtis?). Feel free to make any changes! Juan - how's it going??? I also went through and created the citations. But I'm not sure how to get them to the bottom of the page (like most Wiki pages). Any ideas? I could just make a list ... but I'm not sure how to get it to NOT conform to wiki formatting. This is due tmr so we should probably all do our best to edit, etc. Cheers, Sam
