Hello Amanda, Thanks for the information about Pope Alexander III. I am intrigued about how he defended the papacy policy in his time. I believe that attempt had contributed to the ongoing thriving of the papacy policy to date. In fact the contemporary church needs leaders like Pope Alexander III to make radical decisions that will sustain the church in the ages to come. It is too disturbing how many church leaders these days seem to conform to secular standards, when they are to contend earnestly for the Chriatian faith, just as Pope Alexander III did. May God have mercy on us.
