Abstract My research will discuss how the British colonial legacies affect Hong Kong different social class about the self-national identities. Many Hong Kong residents especially the young generation don’t think there are Chinese, the situation highly connected with the British colonial policies and legacies. The main reason make me interested in this topic is the exist research are mainly focus on the relationship between the age and the self-identities, they think the older people are more sense of belonging for their own country, but less focus on different social class like the rich people and the poor people. This gap is worth to research. So my research question is how the colonial policy affect people in Hong Kong in different social class. My research will use surrey and interview to found the true idea but the limited is people may not present themselves truly under the national security law.

Biography: Michael is international student in Canada and my topic is focus on British colonial legacies and policies in Hong Kong focus on the different social classes.
