Bedrock Geology and Soil Interconnections in Stanley Park: Implications for Ecosystem Management and Hazard Mitigation

Abstract

This study focused on the impact of bedrock type on soil properties in Stanley Park and its implications for land management. The natural environment of Stanley Park and the relationships between detailed geological formations and soil properties were investigated. Soil samples were gathered from different sites in Stanley Park, characterized by diverse bedrock geology, and analyzed for pH, organic matter content, and nutrient levels using basic laboratory tools. The study aimed to provide insights into how the physical and chemical properties of the soil impacted the growth and health of plants in Stanley Park, and how these varied with respect to different types of bedrock geology.
