Influencing factors of soil erosion

Abstract

Soil erosion is a widespread problem, especially next to large rivers, affecting crop cultivation, which has a huge impact on people's lives and environment (Touria, 2020). This study was dedicated to the study of factors that influence soil erosion. In this experiment, a simulated sand table was created, and finally confirmation factor of soil erosion the factors affecting soil erosion by changing the inclination, water flow rate, and rainfall rate. The erosion rate increases with the slope angle for all soil types, but the magnitude of the effect varies depending on the soil properties. The sandy soil is more susceptible to erosion than the loamy and clayey soils, especially at steeper slopes. These findings can inform soil conservation practices and land management strategies to reduce erosion and improve soil quality.
