Title: Assessing the Visual Impact of Popular Beverages on Dental Health: A Comparative Study on Teeth Discoloration

Abstract:

In contemporary society, there has been a steady increase in the long-term consumption of beverages, yet limited awareness exists regarding their potential detrimental effects. This experimental study aims to investigate the discoloration potential of three popular beverages on teeth, with a focus on enhancing awareness of associated risks. Small rocks, closely resembling teeth in composition and color, were chosen as substitutes and submerged in three distinct beverages (cola, tea, and coffee) for a period of 10 days. Photographic documentation of the rock samples was conducted on the fifth and tenth days and compared with the initial photographs. The results revealed that tea exhibited a significantly greater impact on teeth discoloration compared to the other two beverages, with cola showing the slowest rate of discoloration. By presenting visual evidence, this experiment seeks to illustrate the detrimental effects of regular beverage consumption on dental health, aiming to promote understanding and enable individuals to regulate their daily beverage intake effectively.
