the investigation of the potential relationship between the density of charging stations per unit area and the proportion of electric vehicles in Vancouver

by Felix Lam and David Rao

Abstract

The contemporary epoch is marked by the triumph of new energy sources over old ones. New energy vehicles, which use electricity as their primary source of power, are gradually replacing traditional fuel vehicles, and this trend is expected to continue. In the field of electric vehicles, the charging pile is also a very important part, however, in real life, electric vehicles are very common but charging pile is not common. This is of great interest to us, so the following research question is produced: What is the potential relationship between the density of charging stations per unit area and the proportion of electric vehicles in Vancouver? In searching for previous papers in this field, we found that the majority of papers in the field of electric vehicles are closely related to the electric vehicles themselves, while there are few papers exploring the relationship between the electric vehicle and the accessory of electric vehicles, charging piles. This has deepened our interest in pursuing this topic.
