Water absorption of face masks

Abstract

Due to the global outbreak of Covid-19, masks have become a daily necessity. Moisture may be absorbed into masks based on weather conditions, resulting in people feeling uncomfortable and inconvenient. Our research project aims to help people choose better masks for daily life by finding how different masks absorb water.

Biographies

Yee Pui Chung is a student in Department of Chemistry at the University of British Columbia. She is also interested in learning mathematics and zoology.

Sile Wang is a student in Mathematics at the University of British Columbia. She is also interested in experimental study and learning mathematics.
