Title of Project

Abstract

Drinking water as an inevitable essential always needs to be ensured its quality in our daily life. The proper intake of hard water which is the unpureed water contains high calcium and magnesium (Wist, et al., 2009), and this may be beneficial for human health such as enhancing the absorption of calcium (Rubenowite et al. 1999). Based on this concept, the measurement of hard water using titration with ethylenediaminetetraacetic acid (EDTA). The water example from the water fountain in several territories in Vancouver within a week before titration to ensure the water is fresh. The aim of this study will focus on the lack of information on hardness in Vancouver. And make a comparison of quality of harness varies between the water from the different usual resources.

Biographies

Leo Lin

Leo Lin is in his first year studying at Vantage in UBC. Leo enjoys learning project related to the statics and wish to join a statistic major. Leo enjoys playing with his dog, nothing is cutter than dogs. Leo is working on a project related to the quality of water from water fountains in Vancouver and will test it to provide more data to contribute to the security of people.

Ryan Ge

Ryan Ge is a student studying in Vantage Science at the University of British Columbia. He is interesting in Computer Science , Statistics and Mathematics and hope to study Computer Science in his second year in UBC. Ryan is curious about the quality of drinking water in Vancouver and he is wording which type of water is more suitable for people.
