The relationship between the coefficient of restitution and different collision surfaces

Abstract

We examined the effect of collision materials on the coefficient of restitution (COR) by measuring how different collision surfaces influence the height of the rebound. Our experiment has wide applications in sports.

Biographies

Hefei Wang is a first year student in Vantage one science at UBC. She is interested in computer science and statistics and plan to choose it as my specialization.

Yang Lei is a first year science student in UBC Vantage College. She is interested in computer science and chemistry.

Jason Zhou is a first year student in Vantage one science in UBC. He is interested in statistics and economics.

Xing Liu is a first year science student in UBC Vantage College. He has some interests in math, still working on choosing my specialization.
