International Students' attitude toward locally farmed food

==Study Overview==

My research question is: To what extent does cultural context influence international students' attitude toward locally farmed food. With the development of the times, the importance of global sustainability is getting higher and higher, and the research of purchasing local food is becoming more and more important. The purpose of this study is to consider cultural values that influence consumers ’choices to purchase local organic food.. At the same time, it will help the research of global stability in food selection, and help international students think about the considerations of food selection under the influence of cultural level.

My name is Zhijian Guan. I am currently enrolled as a first-year student at UBC Vantage College. Unlike many other international students, I experienced lots of things in Vancouver for 6 years. Music is one of my hobbies so I can play the piano, guitar, and drums. In addition, I love eating food, especially in this multicultural city. My project is focusing on how cultural contexts influence international student’s attitudes toward buying local food. It is a useful and interesting topic for me to research. I look forward to sharing with more people about food.
