Introduction about Our Project

Infographic about Research

UBC devotes to develop a sustainable campus, but we found that UBC Vantage students are quite confused about UBC recycling systems, especially garbage classification. The infographic shows the further research we did to investigate Vantage students' daily behaviours on garbage recycle and analyze the data.

"Have you ever been confused about which recycling bin to dispose of your items? We certainly have. This became the motivation for our project: How confusing are UBC recycling bins, and which items are difficult to sort? To find out, we decided to investigate by conducting a quantitative online survey among UBC vantage students. The results are as follows:"

"Summary of Data: This suggests more awareness and information about recycling, including its importance to sustainability, is needed on campus. However, the sample size is quite small and therefore further research using a larger sample size could provide greater generalization. In addition, further investigation into the causes of confusion could also give more clarity on the steps needed to improve UBC recycling."
