My name is Mary Fang. As a girl, one of the ways to make me happy is to buy luxury items. What impresses me about luxury shopping is that on Black Friday, there will be a lot of people lining up in front of luxury shops. And even when they're not on sale, still have many people go there. However, generally speaking, I find that most girls are buying luxury goods. Therefore, the theme of our study on campus this time is what role does gender play, in university student's understanding of luxury consumption?

My name is Wizard Zhou. In my surrounding circles, there is a group of people who believes that money should be used to enjoy their life. They usually spend most of their income and even make loans to buy luxuries, making them feel that they are closer to the class they want to be in. In my opinion, it’s okay to seldomly buy some luxury goods, but wasting too much money on it is not sustainable. After the discussion with my partners, we decided to find the role of gender on luxury consumption, in order to produce knowledge to solve the problem

My name is Sean Luo. I prefer to read all kinds of novels, especially satirical novels, because I like the ugly and sad things hidden in them while showing the good. Luxury is also a common thing in novels. It symbolizes wealth and status, but it satirizes the shortsightedness and inferiority of the owner. Especially for female characters, they often bring luxury goods to the stage in novels, and even become a stereotype, which makes people always associate women with luxury goods. So I want to explore whether gender has an impact on luxury consumption through this study.
