Biographies
Beth, Vantage Arts
My name is Beth, and I am from China. I am a person who likes to observe as well as enjoy the marvelous inspiration during the observation. During my observation of the relationship between each individual and society, it inspires me to pay more attention to the phenomena around me. Violence against physicians is such a significant topic worth exploring. To find more connections between society and individuals and make more considerable contributions, I am willing to try my best to continue the investigation and research through this project.
Cassie, Vantage Arts
I am Cassie, a Vantage Arts student originally from China. In my first-year studying, sociology offered me a new perspective of the interactional relationship between society and individuals. Simultaneously, psychology guided me to understand how a larger group impact an individual’s decision. This research gives me the opportunity to explore how society changes the individual’s decision as well as the retroaction from an individual’s decisions via a specific case. Thus, since violence against physicians is a focused topic in the current society with the reflection of the indivisible connection between society and individual, I’m excited to discover more.
Kuchelle, Vantage Arts
My name is Kuchelle, and I’m a Vantage Arts student from China. In my first year at UBC University, I was fortunate to have access to sociology. This course inspired me a lot and interested me in the exploration and understanding of human society by establishing a relationship between society and the individual. The incident of violence against physicians affects not only people in the medical profession but also every Chinese. Individual willingness and choice will affect the development of society. I am excited to explore more about this social phenomenon by doing the research.
