- Many of you have not grasped the workings of congruences (modular arithmetic) yet -- they form a core component of any introductory number theory course.

- I urge you to look through the solutions below, as you can learn different methods from the answers to different questions.

- Do not be too concerned about your quiz score as it only counts for 5% of your overall grade. I understand that there was also pressure due to the short time period allocated for the quiz.

- But, more importantly, you should focus on getting the concepts and methods right for the Final Exam, as it counts for 50% of your grade.
