Social Impact of Olympics on First Nations

People who watched the opening ceremony of Vancouver Olympic Games 2010 either in the stadiam or on TV, or went to downtown during Olympic Games have already known somewhat about First Nations.

They were picked up and were represented especially in a part of opening ceremony and a woman of First Nations made a speech in the opening ceremony.

In the downtown, there were some places to show First Nations' culture.

The reason I chose this topic about the First Nations is I was interested in how First Nations would be picked up and be introduced.

When I walked around Robson St., I thought their culture was shown as just a show, and didn't get a good impression about those things.

This Vancouver Olympic Games gave the good opportunity to know First Nations more.

I agree with your opinion. It can be good opportunity for First Nations. However, I also think Canada wanted to appeal their multinational characteristics in this event and I wonder it was conducted by their cooperation or the government's initiative.
