Multiculturalism and Interculturalism
Discussing about the difficulties of communication between people from other cultures regarding multiculturalism and interculturalism.
I had expected Canada is multicultural country in which many people who have different backgrounds and cultures exist before I came to Canada. It is sure that there are many different ethnic restaurants and many people in Canada, however, lots of people in Canada are organizing each community. I often saw within UBC that, for instance, Chinese students make Chinese friends or Canadian students almost spend with Canadian friends. It is not necessarily so, but it would not be necessarily denied.

It can't help it, I think.
I think it is true that people tend to organize each ethnic community, and for me, I tend to be with Asian people because my Asian friend's friends are often Asians.
I've heard that Canada is said that Canada became a multiculturalism country without idea what is multicultural. For multiculturalism, I think the country needs enough care and preparation to accept migrations.
