1. Explain, numerically, the temperature given in the second paragraph of this news item.

2. People can survive - just - in ambient temperatures of 50 C. How? (Put in numbers to show that it is possible).

3. Correct numerical presentation of numerical results.
Every single one of these reported measurements would raise the eyebrows of a scientist reading them in your analysis report, even without knowing what they are measurements of. What is wrong (maybe multiple things) with each, and can you write down a better way of saying the same thing?

A. 1.23 ± 0.0005
B. 1.23 ± 0.04 um
C. 1.23 x 10-1 ± 0.004
D. 1.23 x 10-3 ± 4 x 10-5 m
E. (1.23 ± 0.03) x 10-7 m
F. 1.23 ± 0.1 m^2
G. 1.2397 ± 0.1458
H. 1.2397362 ± 0.0000003
