Course Description:

EDCP 377A is an advanced curriculum course focusing on the design and implementation of instructional resources for Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics (STEM) education. The emphasis in the summer 2011 section is on creating courses and lessons for teaching with/through robotics.

Course Objectives:

  1. Exploration of key concepts and techniques (STEM-related) with a focus on robotics
  2. Rationale for robotics education and literacy at many levels (elementary, middle, high school, adult)
  3. Evaluation of robotics education instructional materials and recommendation of appropriate revisions
  4. Design and selection of appropriate materials and resources for robotics education courses
