Hardware What are barriers? - short life span/the relative cost, - don’t have access to equipment I need (ie projector)
Affordances of cost? What is it that is leading us to the inadequate resources? problem solving meeting? - to come up with a plan to share a resource if admin will buy for us what can we do to deal with the issue?
Opportunities? -collaboration, communication, taking action to solve this problem -to connect to the real world -allows students to demonstrate learning in a different way, support differentiated instruction, using equipment that is outside the classroom and helps to prepare them for “the real world” with necessary skills to succeed.
Software Barrier
- cost of licensing for a school
Affordance - approach PAC, admin to lobby trustees Opportunity - approach district about getting reduced bulk licensing
Practice Barrier - time to learn
Affordance - meet to brainstorm ways to create time
Opportunity - peer mentoring, collaboration
