Overview
You are looking at the root page for the Wiki site for UBC Okanagan's 2024 winter term 1 ECON 371: Economics of the Environment course.
Current Events Analysis
The students in the class have been assigned to groups of three or four people. Each week, every group must find a news item that relates to material being covered in the course. The analyses are prepared as Wiki pages. Click on the heading link to go to the root page for these analyses.
Reflections
One week after the midterm and one week before the end of class, each student is to write a reflection on the impact that participating in the course has had on them. A reflection is not a list of things that the student is learned. It is a description of how encountering the course material has affected the way that the student's thought has changed. In particular, the students have been asked to reflect on the limitations of economic framing of human relationships with the environment that the students are expected to understand at the end of the course. Click on the heading link to go to the root page for these reflections.
