Course Description

ASIA 453 – Japanese Travel Literature

Japanese travel literature from the 8th century to present.

 (myths, legends, poetry, tales, diaries, illustrated guides, satiric sermons, 
haiku, comic fiction, colonial reporting, and ethnography)
