The WikiPremed Image Archive is a collection of over 6000 images on a variety of topics in physics, chemistry, and biology. All images are free to use for educational purposes, and are formatted specifically for use in in-class presentations.
License
The images in the WikiPremed Image Archive are licensed individually. Under each thumbnail image is an "Attribution" link that leads to the original Wikipedia page from which the image was taken. Once you arrive at the Wikipedia page, scroll down to to the "Licensing" heading to review the terms of the relevant license.
Many of the images are covered by Creative Commons licences, so please take care to follow the stipulations of the relevant license when using these images. (For more information about citing Creative Commons images, see UBC's Image Citation Guide.)
Searching, Downloading, & Embedding
Searching
- No search interface. Select a topic from the drop-down menus at the top of the page, then browse the available images.
- Alternately, you can search the site by typing your search terms into Google, and then placing the site: operator at the end of your query (e.g., nucleophiles electrophiles site:http://www.wikipremed.com/image_archive.php).
Downloading
- Click on a thumbnail image to view the full-size version and any accompanying information.
- Right click the image and select "Save image as."
