Discussion Topics

As part of the preparation for our class discussion, we decided to dice up some topics and present a list of optional readings on each one. For example, if you are familiar with a particular topic or its assigned readings, please feel free to skip over some. If you think you want to brush up a bit, peruse the readings until you feel comfortable discussing issues around each one in class. Again, we don't expect everyone to read everything unless you want to (because this is the cream of the Web), but please be prepared for these topics to come up in class. Of course, any other issues around these topics that you bring to class are fine, too.

  • It is very difficult to find resources on tagging specifically targeted to young people. Why do you think this is? We'll talk about it if we have time in class.
