Description
English: In a classic example of a trophic cascade, a decline in sea otters led to an increase in sea urchins, which led to a decrease in kelp forest cover. This could have further negative consequences on species which rely on kelp forest as habitat, such as fish like salmon (Gertsman, 2022).
