Summary
This is an image of "The Stairs" below the Half Dome saddle. This smaller dome was called "Quarter Dome", but is now usually referred to as "Sub Dome." If you look closely you can see people on the rock stairs working their way to the top of Sub Dome.
Note the trees bursting out of the granite crust.
