Weather fine but business dull New mines just discovered near Victoria hope they may turn out Something Your &c JA McCrea Description: This letter to Royal Fisk was written by J.A. McCrea in Victoria, Vancouver Island on October 21, 1863 and sent on the steamer Sierra Nevada (Seira Nevada). McCrea referred to some business difficulties with Martenstein & Co; asked about flour; noted the weather is fine but business slow; and indicated that new mines were found near Victoria.
