              Dear sir
                    Your favor of the 16th inst
received with invoice of Tea   I wrote you last
Steamer in regard the nat mill which I hope will
be Satisfactory   The "Sheet Anch[o]r" has arrived  her
goods are in very bad condition  Business is
generally very dull  I am doing more in Sales 
of English goods  but shall try and make up
a list for next Steamer   you might send though
Say 10 firkin Choice butter 10 cases cal cheese
100 Bbls cheap flour Same as last

Description: This letter to Royal Fisk was written by J.A. McCrea in Victoria, Vancouver Island on September 21, 1863, and sent on the steamer "Bro Jonathan".  McCrea indicated he received a Tea invoice; followed up on previous correspondence about the nat mill (National Mill?); noted that goods from the "Sheet Anchor" are in poor condition; expressed that business is slow but sales are up in English goods; and ordered Choice butter, California cheese, and flour.
