                  Enclosed please find
Wells Fargo &Co Check No 466. for five hundred dollars
which please place to my credit   Also sale of cheese
with W F. &Co Check no 465 for One hundred
and thirty three & 72/100 dollars.   Which settles that
and I hope will be satisfactory to the shipper
Your faver of the 27 received with invoice [indecipherable] ["Rivel"]
and statement of a/c  Where are my other
100 boxes candles   you have only sent me
four hundred and charged me with five hundred
Shipments for Naramisic received and goods all
Satisfactory   I will make a good thing on the butter
If you can find any cheap sugar  cured Hams 
I would like 10 or 20 Bbls.  Some of the old kind 
I send you my catalogu[e] of sale of sugar held last
Monday  I sold about ten thousand dollar worth
put this [a/c] in your office  some of my old acquaintance
will see it   I send you by [Mr St Ours] a regular
English over coat which please accept as a present

Description: This letter to Royal Fisk was written by J.A. McCrea in Victoria, Vancouver Island on March 6, 1863 and sent on the steamer "Pacific." McCrea enclosed Wells Fargo and Company checks; described his sales of butter, cheese and sugar; inquired about an order of candles; indicated goods from the Naramisic arrived and were satisfactory; asked Fisk to place a notice in his office; ordered sugar and cured hams; declined to purchase crushed sugar; and told Fisk he sent him (via Mr. St Ours) an English over coat as a gift.
