                                   Enclosed you will please 
find W F &Co no 272   Draft for two thousand dollars 
which please place to my credit  I hope that 
[Ere] this you have received 1500. dollars from Eli 
Cook Esq  I want the following goods  and you 
will get an advance from F B&Co
x 100 Bbls GG Flour in 1/4 [sks] superfine 
   Sufficient number of Bbls [Cr o] Sugar to get the draw back 
x from 20 to 50 Kegs choice Isthmas butter
x about 50 Kegs of Choice Isthmas butter
x 50 Kegs of [EB] Syrup. in 5 gall Kegs
x 10 Bales [DC] straw paper
x a lot of pork in Hf Bbls like the last
x 10 to 20 cases [L]&H Lard
x 20 Hf Bbl dried apples if at 8¢_ or under
   I find some of the Billings Hams with skipper in 
   them did you know it.[s]  What is Steels English soap
   worth in san Francisco in 20u boxes  9 bars yellow - 
   Same in 28lb boxes  there is considerable here & 
   if it would pay I could ship some down

Description: This letter to Royal Fisk was written by J.A. McCrea in Victoria, Vancouver Island on January 15, 1863, and sent on the steamer "Sierra Nevada".  McCrea included a Wells Fargo and Company bank draft, asked if Fisk received money from Eli Cook, Esq., and notified him of an advance from F B & Co.  McCrea ordered Golden Gate [GG] superfine flour, choice Isthmas butter, [EB] syrup, straw paper, pork, [L&H] lard, and dried apples.  He inquired about San Francisco syrup and Steels English soap, and questioned Fisk about skipper [flies] in the Billings Ham.
