Royal Fisk Esqr
               Dear Sir
                       Your of the 17 inst 
duly received and satisfactory a/c of purchase 
I think we will let up on Butter for a little 
time unless you should have great inducements 
offered to purchase.  I am afraid there will 
be to much here.  b[u]y me 5 or ten more 
bales of straw paper if you can get it 
and any other lot of goods that are [cheap]
I shall probably want some [heavy] shipments
made soon for the spring Trade

Description:
This letter to Royal Fisk was written by J.A. McCrea in Victoria, Vancouver Island on December 22, 1862.   McCrea tells Fisk he plans to reduce butter orders because he does not want too much in stock; orders straw paper; and requests other [non-specified] goods if they are a good deal.  McCrea also anticipates needing heavy shipments for the spring trade.
