Summary
Description | English: 这个是之前作业的project introduction:Ecological and economic sustainability are important factors in the process of achieving sustainable tourist development. Researchers showed that the collaborative engagement of tourist cooperation is rising in its importance in terms of ecological sustainability in environmentally sensitive tourism (Erkuş-Öztürk et al., 2010). Higher entrance fees to tourist attractions may lead to fewer visitors and alleviate problems caused by large numbers of visitors. Increased entrance fees may also lead to a less income disparity between tourists and those in destinations especially in developing nations (Wang & Jia, 2012). Statistics show that millennials (ages 18-34) make up the vast majority of travelers (Statistics Canada, 2020). Therefore, this generation's attitude towards the sustainable development of tourism plays an important role. In addition, this generation, as known as millennials, the importance of their awareness on sustainability in tourism is rising in terms of cooperating social responsibility (McGlone et al, 2011). Our proposed project is an exploration of the impacts of the younger generation’s attitude towards keeping the balance of both economically and ecologically sustainable tourism. |
