Adventure was an unkown term. Aly had always played it safe. Everything was orderly and conventional, and she was often hesitant to take risks. So now, she swung back and forth like a pendullum between the decision to stay and be expected Aly, or to go and live the adventure she had only experienced in books. Often criticized for being too predictable, Aly searched for the courage to do something different.
"Aly? Oh I think she's in Amsterdam again. Or maybe it's Cairo. I can never keep up with that girl!" How nice it would be to have this said instead of, "Aly? Same old. That girl hasn't changed since high school."
