Artist Biography
Born in 1980 of Dutch and Brazilian decent, Rafaël Rozendaal currently lives and works in New York. He studied at the Maastricht Academy of Fine Arts in Maastricht, Netherlands and was part of the 2002 graduating class. The son of two fine artists, his early introduction to the art world was through painting and printmaking. Rozendaal is a visual artist whose expansive use of the internet and domain names has brought a high amount of traffic to his artworks. Although his artistic practice consists most notably of websites, he also utilizes installations, writings, lenticulars, and lectures.
