More details on how to get the plots, please

I used this fabulous online graphing calculator: https://www.desmos.com/calculator And then used Picasa to a) screenshot and b) crop.

I hate to be a jerk but the point at 0 is also an inflection point. One more picture and we have it. (I had made this error in part(d) which is now fixed).

Oh, you're right. I caught the mistake in d but didn't think for the graph. New picture coming up.

Boom! I was hoping the Main page http://wiki.ubc.ca/Science:Math_Exam_Resources would update automatically the fact that we completed the exam... I guess I'll have to wait before the final triumph.

CarmenBruni (talk)04:37, 22 November 2012

Carmen, that's not done automatically. It is for us to decide when we are happy. If you are, please change the IP (in progress) flag to QG on the main page of the exam.

Done! - though I must say that seems a bit needless- I mean I guess the tags aren't done but at least the exam is 'complete' in the sense that students can and should be using it.

CarmenBruni (talk)15:37, 22 November 2012

sorry I should clarify - needless in the sense of all question, hints, and answers are 'done' and have been verified by another person so that should be enough to flag a done condition.

Also the main page needs to be changed a bit - not all courses are 'integral calc for life sciences'...

Good point. I would be happy to continue this discussion and explain the reasoning a little more, but since none if this is related to the solution of this exam question I suggest we better discuss this on the MER page.
