More details on how to get the plots, please | 12 | 20:48, 22 November 2012 |
I know it's a pain, but I would like to see a little more hands-on advice on how to make the plot. See http://wiki.ubc.ca/Science:Math_Exam_Resources/Courses/MATH104/December_2011/Question_2_(g) for an example.
I'll do this later this morning.
Anyone want to share how these pictures were created? Given how quickly they were done seems worthwhile to learn...
Oh also, the inflection points need to be marked on the final graph and where the graph has a vertical tangent needs to be identified (so I guess one more picture is needed?)
I used this fabulous online graphing calculator: https://www.desmos.com/calculator And then used Picasa to a) screenshot and b) crop.
I hate to be a jerk but the point at 0 is also an inflection point. One more picture and we have it. (I had made this error in part(d) which is now fixed).
