The wiki page gives a clear description of the gender disparity experienced in the workplace. It demonstrates, by the aid of percentages, on how women are paid poorly compared to their counterparts. A fact, as the page states, that leads to women living in poverty. However, it does not show the percentage of women living in poverty as compared to men due to low payments at their workplace. Also, the point that more women are living in poverty than men should have been attributed the source of that information. Also, the page should explain in detail how the ambition and perception gap disadvantages women instead of centering on the differences between the male and female perception and ambition gap.While the claims raised about discrimination faced by Aboriginal women might be right, citing the source of that information would have made them more verifiable. The intersectionality part lacks citation; it should be cited. The visual and technical aspects of the wiki are correctly presented. The wiki is appropriately written and spaced accordingly. The page contains a list of references which are given as per the standard guidelines. However, the page should have used graphs and pie-charts to demonstrate the disparity between men and women in the workplaces.

The wiki page brings clearly out the gender and race aspects of intersectionality. It demonstrates how women are mistreated regarding payment, different expectations and facing violence and abuse in the workplaces. It also talks about the discrimination faced by Aboriginal women, a fact that denies them a chance of becoming corporate leaders.

I think you've done a very good job in touching most of the stuff that revolves gender inequality in the workplace. I really enjoyed reading your work as its informative and to the point. Your use of statistics was very well done, i think maybe if you could expand on the consequences portion of the wiki it would really help tie everything in a bit more. Other than that i think you've done a really good job and i can't wait to read your wiki once its complete.

Hello!

I think you've done a great job on the draft for your Wiki page. You've highlighted most of the topics that you will be targeted in your research. The motherhood penalty is a great topic to explore since it is a major concern in regards to the gender wage gap. You can also look into how employers view a woman who is married in comparison to those who are unmarried or how employers view mothers versus fathers. Traditional gender roles are evidently still impacting the work lives of a woman and your topic will effectively demonstrate this. A suggestion I have is to expand on the intersectional qualities that you are observing, for example comparing genders or comparing the wealth of the individuals and how this can impact their wage. Overall great work on your wiki!

Hi there,

I really enjoyed your page. I thought you laid out your topic very well. I've seen a lot of research in regards to this topic that actually divvies up the 26 cent discrepancy between men and women. That is, between 5-8 cents remains unexplained (depending on which research you cite) - the remaining difference can be explained by industry, hours worked, etc. It might be worth it to break this down in your article.

Also, women as a group face a lower wage due to the prospect of becoming mothers, regardless of whether they have kids or not, essentially, the group average is brought down as some women exit the workforce to care for their children. There are a lot of variables that contribute to the gender-wage gap - you do a good job of addressing these things.

My only other suggestion is to consider adding a citation to your intersectionality section. Otherwise, great work!
